Hear night steps rustling in that place between asleep and awake
Now morning whispers in
Gently pulling back the warm covers
Revealing what passes from dreams to reality
And back again.
Strung up a new pattern on my inkle loom this morning
I don’t plan ahead with sketches or graphs or anything like that. I just pick out the colors and get to work. On this one I decided to use the white warp threads doubled, and single strands for the rest of the warp.
I like the way the edge looks like a thick braid compared to the center portion. Even though I’m familiar with how warp faced designs work, it’s still fun to see the final pattern come out of hiding as I weave in the weft.
